Verify your website
See the common ways to prove ownership of a website in Authoriflow.
Before a website can fully participate in Authoriflow, you need to prove that you own it.
Why verification is required
Verification protects the marketplace and helps make sure website data is accurate.
It also helps prevent someone from registering a site they do not control.
Common verification methods
Meta tag
Add a small verification code to the head section of your site.
This is often the easiest option if you can edit the website HTML.
DNS TXT record
Add a TXT record through your domain provider.
This is useful when you want to verify the domain at the DNS level.
Domain email
In some cases, you may be able to verify by using an email address on the same domain.
For example, addresses like admin@yourdomain.com may be used when supported.
After verification
Once verification is complete, your website can:
- Appear more confidently in your workspace
- Enter the backlink workflow
- Participate in requests and monitoring
If verification fails
If something does not work:
- Double-check the code or DNS value
- Wait a little while for DNS changes to propagate
- Confirm the website is using the correct domain
If needed, try another verification method that matches your setup.
