What is checked
The verification process typically looks for things like:
- Whether the link exists
- Whether the target URL is correct
- Whether the link is placed in the expected location
- Whether the link still appears as requested
Why verification matters
Verification helps make sure the exchange really happened.
It protects both sides by confirming that the task was completed before credits are finalized.
What happens after verification
Once the backlink is verified:
- The assignment can be marked complete
- Credits can move out of escrow
- The exchange becomes part of the website history
If verification fails
If the backlink does not verify:
- Check the URL again
- Confirm the anchor text and placement
- Make sure the page is public
- Review whether the link changed after submission
